When I fitted a BBS01 250W I was rather shocked at how weak it was, unless you used the throttle....

Subsequent investigation, and using the programming tool, I found Keep Current was set to 20%, bumped it up to 60% and it suddenly felt as it should! However, the problem now is when you are riding around the maximum speed setting it is annoying the way the motor cuts in and out quite strongly. Reducing the Keep current helps, 40% is ok, but general power is low, 50% seems to be a good compromise.

Question is, is there a trick to programming settings so the keep current tails off near max speed setting, so the on/off surge is less?

Thanks for any suggestions....

Any clues on this please :)
I've got a BBS02 and played about with the settings quite a bit to get what I want. Could you supply some screenshots from the Bafang Config tool. Showing the Basic / Pedal Assist / Throttle settings.
