What display you prefer with your Bafang motor? I was thinking about getting 500c for it's compact size and integrated buttons which reduces wire clutter.

I only have experience with the 500C and I really like it. When I first opened the box, it was like wtf! is that it....
But it is very clear in use and allows me to keep my Garmin 530 on the stem.

The PAS buttons work very well, even with gloves on.

Does hydraulic brake sensors and throttle work with 500c btw?

Yes they do. The hydraulic cut offs are part of the 1 to 4 way plugs coming off the loom, so completely separate from the display. You do get the little brake activated symbol though and the throttle works a treat

Are these just plug and play ? I’ve just bought a bike that uses a Bafang G020 motor but it only has LED dots for PAS and battery level. If I could just unplug that and plug another type of display/controller in its place I’d be one happy bunny.

Depends if your led is analogue or digital, lcd's are all digital.

We need to know the model and how many pins it has.

Remember, the guy from Mirider said that he had upgraded the standard electrical system to CANbus, which would prevent that. Some of what he said didn't ring true, and I think that it would be worth checking to see if that's the case. You'd have to pull out your motor controller and show us all the wires attached to it if you wanted to change anything.
