Hi,

I don't know if this has been covered before , but does anyone know which is the best hillclimber between the Powerbyke X6 and the Cytronex Trek.

Thanks

Interesting question and I wouldn't have thought there was much in it. Both bikes have relatively low capacity batteries compared to the likes of the Wisper & Kalkoffs and serious hills do drain the batteries quickly. I don't have any issue with the Trek 175RPM motor and hills, living in a moderately hilly area, but I know some members have to deal with much worse hills than me. The Trek is no longer sold by Cytronex and the bikes on offer are Cannondale and Claud butler. The Cytronex system (battery and motor etc) is much the same though.

I'm not sure if the Cytronex NIMH battery has any advantage over the X6 Lithium.

Both are reputedly good climbers, but the X6 uses the same Powabyke motor as their other models and it is one of the best climbers ever in e-bikes. My vote would go to that, rather than the Nano motor in the Cytronex which has a lower peak power, though the X6 pays for that climb ability with less range under identical circumstances.
