Hi

A friend is converting a bike and it has a 20 inch rear wheel with 175mm dropouts. Is there a motor anybody can recommend that might fit given the small diameter yet wide width of wheel (it's a beach cruiser). Preferably it'll be over 500w as the bike is a bit of lump to shift. We've previously used Cyclotricity 1000w hub but it's way too big to go in a 20".

Secondly please - I'm finally about to get my new Q128C laced into my 27.5 Mavic rim. I'd prefer to use 13 gauge spokes rather than the 14s in the existing wheel. Does anybody know a decent spoke supplier? Not sure on length - but it's possible somebody might already know who's laced a Q128C into a 27.5 rim.

Many thanks

Matt

You will have less problems with 14g spokes. That's what I use.

Every rim is different. You have to calculate exactly using the rim's ERD.

175mm is fat bike territory so look for a fat bike hub.
