I have just ordered a new bike alarm, as I think we would all agree that we need to do as much as possible when it comes to protecting our bikes.

Here is the link New Two Way Bike Anti-Theft Alarm Audible Sound Security Lock Bicycle Undercover | eBay

I like the idea of the pager, as sometimes if you pop into a shop, even for a few minutes it just makes you feel a little more at ease.

I will update once I have received it and let you know if I think it is any good.

I will be interested to hear how good that is Steve....it sounds just the job.

I have a 'similar' Vanbitz Strikeback alarm on my motorhome that rings me if anyone tries to break in.....unfortunately it cost me a damn sight more than that bike one lol

I hate leaving my bike unattended and if that does the job and gives peace of mind it will be worth every penny.

Lynda :)

Hi Lynda, yes I hope it does a good job. It should be here in a weeks time.:)

What I also like about this one is the fact that it gets bolted underneath the bottle, so not that quick and easy to move off the bike. Also it should look quite stealthy which as you know for me is a big bonus :)

Looks like a 'must have' gadget.
You and Dave keep finding more stuff for me to buy!
No doubt we'll be modifying it as well to make it better like we did with the last alarms, but we won't be showing any details now that we're not allowed to post anything with technical content.

Those of us with a technical inclination have been shown a metaphorical "yellow card", and told , in effect, to "dumb down" anything we post.

In future I'll just post links to somewhere with a more enlightened view on technical discussions, if questions are asked that risk answers that might cause offence.

WHAT ??????????????????

Told by whom might I ask ?

You may have guessed by my posts that Im not exactly the most Techie savvy member on here ROFLOL

But they are an integral and very important feature of this forum, and I, for one, read them and try to learn something.
I will admit that I don't usually understand much...but, hey, I always live in hope of enlightenment :D

I like the fact that we are all so different in what we like to talk about, makes life more interesting, some people love techie stuff, me ?......I just love riding my Tonaro and my new RED laptop :D

What people don't like to read about they don't need to if its a problem for them.

Vive le difference.......

We're only alowed to post about our ride-outs now - no more expanations of how things work or how to modify, build or reppair anything. Slap on the wrist to Wurley for his too technical explanation about the brake. If he does it again, he'll be exiled to Endless-Sphere.

Since when?
One person gets in a strop and announces he leaving and it's been noticed the threads are getting 'too involved'.
My thoughts are, if you want the forum to reflect the subject matter you like, get posting, not leave.

I have a few questions.

1) Who has shown you the, "yellow card" and told you to, "dumb down" the content of your posts?

2) What was the reason given for (1) above?

3) Has something happened / been posted to prompt this?

4) How was this, "order" communicated?

5) Is there any commercial influence going on here?

I'm both curious and disappointed if this is true. I enjoy the technical content. It's the best bit if the forum for me.

What a joke, forums are to discuss issues and technical fixes .
If that's the case no wonder people leave.
My next project , how to turn my Storck into a 20000w , all blue prints and wiring details will be online.
For the rest get a life
