Biuld in battery charger

Hi guys last yaer I built a ebike battery box still going strong but looking to mount the charger in side the box. The battery as a charge and discharge wire I know the Discharger goes to the controller and the other to the charger but when I plug the wire in the red led comes on the charger would it be OK plugged in or would it drain the battery over time

The led will have residual draining affect over time.
Use a panel mount on/off switch to the case and connect the Red/V line either side then you can be sure it is not being drained. Also some controllers can have the same affect.
