Bottom Bracket Size and type Giant Anthem X3 2011

Hi Folks,

Could anyone tell me the Bottom Bracket size and type for a Giant Anthem x3 2011 please?

As far as I can see, its a Shimano Press fit, but no info on the size. Am looking to install a BBSHD on one, so trying to work out if I need an adapter and 100mm BBSHD?

Any help is greatly appreciated,

According to this, Press-fit.

Whatever bike you get, it's a good idea to get the bike first, then measure the BB before ordering a BBSxx. Any press-fit one is likely to be wider than the standard 68/73mm. Any threaded one is likely to be 68/73mm.

Thanks for the reply Dave, I know Empowered have put their kits on Giant Anthems and Trances and have a conversion kit, but at nearly £60 with out postage, its a bit pricey. i was wondering whether an alternative to this is available in the UK?

Any local engineering company will probably knock you up a pair of adaptors for about £30. This gives you the advantage that you can make the left side one as long as you want to suit the length of the motor shaft, though you can also use a separate space ring if you want.

The anti-rotation method is quite neat, but I think I'd prefer a tie bar to the motor, especially if you're using a BBSHD.
