Yes - that is the same model Shimano MT200 (they are more expensive from ebay than Ali Express). You can either buy those and glue on separate motor cutoff / brake light cables with 2 pin connector or buy the XOD ones that @saneagle linked to in post #2. One of the options on that link was right/front left/rear brakes with the red 2 pin cables

Those ones don't have switches in. We don't know how your bike goes without brake switches. You need switches if your motor runs on for a bit after you stop pedalling.

These ones (the last option on the right) have switches in them and the same connectors as your present ones. The brake levers and calipers will fit your bike the same as what you have. The only thing we don't know is whether the hoses are the right length. They will fit normal bikes, but we have no idea what your one is like, so there's always a possibility that the hoses could be too short. They say 800mm for the front and 1500mm for the rear. You'd have to measure to check whether they're OK'

Ok thanks saneagle, so its £37.31 for front and back, they do say sm/2 pin plug, but mine are 2 pin red Juliet type not SM, but i suppose it means they also have SM ones. ok I won't order yet until I measure the length of cable for front and also back I will bookmark that page for later when i order so am I right then its still disc brakes but instead of a wire cable it will be a piston what closes brakes. do you have to fill with oil at 1st or will that come with brakes.

Both my left and right brake levers cables for back light are plugged into the front of bike female connecters £37.31 is much cheaper than £44 ones on ebay

I would get the longest hoses they do, I think 1000mm front, 1750mm rear, so that if you do fit North Road handlebars you will have plenty of wriggle room. If you find them a bit too long, they are a doddle to cut shorter or just leave them a bit longer than needed.

The brakes come pre-filled with oil, you don't have to do anything except bolt them on.

Don't forget with vat the brakes will be a little over £40.
From that link select the second box for the Red two pin set.

just replace the cable brake caliper with cable actuated hydraulic calipers.

I wouldn't try mixing and matching. Plus those brakes have a terrible reputation.

There is also another option , keep your existing e-brake levers and cables and just replace the cable brake caliper with cable actuated hydraulic calipers.
And one can buy them in pretty colours as well.

Well to be honest, I have been worrying about doing all this to my bike, as I only use it for small trips. sometimes occasionally a bit further, no offence to you saneagle I appreciate your help too. But this sounds a much easier option for me. so its still wire cable. but the calipers are like a piston which obviously works off a lever, it looks as if the 1st link you posted for a pair colour black its £20.29 plus another £7.02 shipping so total = £27.31

64260

But in the 2nd link its only £21.49 colour black for a pair plus no shipping cost. so best to go for those then.
Will they come with disc pads fitted already or do you have to buy pads separate as I don't think my pads would fit those

I will wait for your reply before I order them

I'm pretty sure DB680's (the second link) are actually mechanical calipers but dual piston - both pads move (unlike a lot of mechanical calipers). I think they are mis-described in the advert - let me double check (eta yes everywhere else I check says they are mechanical). HB100s are definitely hydraulic and there's loads of us using them, better than mechanical, not quite as good as the MT200s

slightly cheaper here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007374023862.html

I can't attest to how good they work, however there was a thread two or three months ago talking about them.
The hydraulic caliper uses a twin piston so the pads are supposedly centralised in use unlike conventional generic wired caliper that only has one moving piston.

I have deleted the second link as Peter has mentioned they do look to be generic type wired pistons, looking closer I can't see a fluid reservoir which is obvious on the first link.
The Caliper uses a generic Shimano shape B01S/B03S/B05S brake pad.

Before ordering do check the disc/rotor diameter used on your bike , front and rear.

I have the HB100s and I find them a huge improvement over over mechanical calipers.

I removed the old calipers and their adaptors and I fitted the new adaptors and calipers together.

The only slight problem I had was I had to fit washers between the frame and the adaptor to push the whole thing a couple of mm inboard to get the caliper aligned to the disk. This was only on the rear one.

I started off with 4mm washers but finally settled on 2mm.

You have to pull off the ferrule on the end of the cable with a pair of pliers and crimp on a new one after the job's finished.

Or you could simply tape up the end of the cable.

To centralise the pads you have to loosen the two bolts that hold the caliper to the adaptor, squeeze the brake lever and then tighten the two bolts up again (while keeping the brake lever squeezed).

My disk rotors are 160mm front and rear.

It's a very simple job.

Nice Waspy I forgot you did your carrera folding conversion and used them, so the info and pics should be of use to Bill.

The centralising process is the same for generic Hydraulic calipers so these would be no different.

With some rear hub motors one has to do the same sometimes and space the caliper to centralise via washers.

Yeah nice images looks cool. will order a pair of black HB100s are the disc pads easy to fit as what I have now are smaller. also I now need to find or buy a good wire cutter to remove the ferruls from the cable as i have tried 3 wire cutters none work

so will order these is that correct then now

I never touched the pads, I just fitted the calipers as they came.

I have a Park Tool cable cutter and crimper, works very well.

But you can simply pull the ferrule off the end of the cable with normal pliers.
