Break Sensors For Intergrated Gear / Break Lever

Hi,

I'm undecided between buying an e bike or converting my brilliant subway. The Subway has intergrated gear / break levers and I don't want to mess around with them.

How easy is it to add sensors to my existing breaks and wire them into a kit?

Also, I want a rack battery, the subway has disk breaks, I had to buy a special rack to go around the disks, will the rack be okay?

The rack probably won't be OK. Why not a kit with a downtube battery, which is normally better?

The brakes are easy. You just need to get one or a pair of hidden wire brake sensors (HWBS).

or you can make your own by cutting the sensor off a cycle computer and attaching the spoke magnet to the inner cable where it runs along the crossbar - cost about £3.
