New Brompton toolkit now available, having watched it on youtube, I ordered it promptly only available from a few places at the moment, my one arrived today, purchased it from pedals cycle centre, I'm sure many people will think it's bonkers spending £48 on a set of tools you could put together yourself for a few quid, but having received it and played about with it I'm luving it, just the way it locks inside the frame so solidly no chance of rattling or dropping out all very high quality and so it should be, but it really is a little design master piece, the way all the tools connect together into such a little package. Costly yes, but for me personally I often just like to hop on the bike as it is, in normal dress, without bags attached etc, and my pockets are always full with phones keys wallets etc. so it’s a bonus not having to have them full with multi tools now and I'll never forget my tools again because there neatly stored in the bike now.

The tool kit is nice but also very expensive for what it is.

If you have a motor fitted you will still need to carry an adjustable/larger spanner to take it off if you get a puncture, although I guess you could fix it in situ.

Hi Jerry, good point about if a motor is fitted, my brompton is non assisted, I have a Wisper bike for when I want some power, I guess for e brompton's unless your a gadget geek like me the best thing is to save yourself a packet and put a good set of tools in with the battery in the front luggage carrier. By the way Jerry think your Brompton looks fantastic.

Thanks. Which one I have two :p

Jerry
like them both Jerry, like the way you've got everything so tidy, control box is out of sight, and to most people they would just think you had a front dynamo hub fitted, any chance of you getting some photos on the gallery some time? Or have you got any videos on youtube?
