Building a Tongxin into 20" rim ?

Hi,

I have another project on the go and want to build a Tongxin into a 20" rim.

All my 16" wheel builds have been a one cross spoke pattern, but I was thinking on a 20" I should use a two cross spoke pattern ?

Not sure if it's any guide to what's best, but my 8Fun 20" 36 spoke wheel is 1 cross.

(and to be completely cheeky is in the classifieds )

I have five Tongxins already (six if you include a knackered one), been collecting them

Given that that some Brompton conversions have radial spoking one cross is probably sufficient as you say. Was just thinking that with the smaller Tongxin and larger 20" rim I could get away with two cross.

The motor is 260RPM, so in a 20" rim I calculate about 15mph ?

I think my Bafang must be a bit less RPM. Seems to be 14mph max
