An earlier thread was saying that whilst the 14-34T could be replaced with an 11-34T, those rotters at Shimano stopped making them some time ago.

I have seen some for sale on Ebay but have no idea whether they are compatible with the Wisper, does anyone know what Shimano code number I should be looking for.

If you see one, get it!

It's a simple screw on part. There should be no compatibility issues.

I bought one for my kit bike just before they disappeared from the market and it has been fine. I've read somewhere that they are stronger than the 13-34 and 14-34 as they are made in a different way.

Yes they are stronger, the 11 to 34 freewheel from Shimano was a higher priced unit with two bearings to give more support when the outer small sprocket was being the driven, and they were at least double the price. Type HG50, but watch out since the cassette version shares the same type code.

The 13 to 34 and lower are on the Cadet range, single bearing and typically at £9.99 or less.
