Sorry done it again lol and not put pic on haha here it isHi this is the controller I’m using it came with the controller
doh me lol misread it lol so what would you suggest another pedal assist if so how would i know if its a dual halled one or not as i would want a dual halled oneThat's the display (LED) not the controller, any how it matters not as with that one can't make parameter changes.
would not i meant lolthis is the one i bought https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184133996690doh me lol misread it lol so what would you suggest another pedal assist if so how would i know if its a dual halled one or not as i would want a dual halled one
im also installing it on the non drive sidewould not i meant lolthis is the one i bought https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184133996690
Ive never had this happen to me before with pedal assist sensors even when I have put it on non drive side could it be because I have not put electric cut of brake levers on and there are only normal brake levers on why would I need a dual hall sensor on it tho?Just type in dual hall in the title of your search.
Will that solve the problem then neath pal if I buy a dual hall sensor? And thank you so much for helping me with this problem as you have done with all the other onesThen cheapo single hall ones can't tell fwd's from backwards.
The bike only has pedal assist pal dosnt have throttleIt might, depends on how good the controller software is.
Otherwise is worried about accidental activation leave the PAS in 0 or if it occurs because of pushing the bike backwards turn the display off.
Hi neath this is the bike I’m converting to an electric one and this is the bottom bracket can you suggest a dual hall sensor that will fit onto it please bought a five magnet sensor wasn’t a dual hall one and it still turned the motor on when the pedals were turned backwards as well as forwards must be a male connectorI didn't mention a throttle ?
i have also tried a 5 pole disc and still does the same thing its starting to blag my head now lol as ive never had any issues before when ive had to change controllersIt isn't guaranteed that DH PAS will correct the issue, the quality of the controller firmware/programming may not lend it self to helping.
I noticed you are using a 12 pole disc, I had issues using 12 poles once so always opt for 8 or 10 pole which works.
Hi everyone this is the original controller that I got with the wheel for the project bike I’m converting the wire that you can see without the connector are for the display and the red and black are obv the power my question is do they have to be connected to a display or is there anyway of bypassing iti have also tried a 5 pole disc and still does the same thing its starting to blag my head now lol as ive never had any issues before when ive had to change controllers
Thank you neath I’m just trying to solve the problem with the motor engaging when the pedals are turned backwards as well as forwards thats why I’m thinking it could be the controller even tho it’s brand new as I’ve tried about five pedal assist sensors now and still doing it or could you recommend a cheap controller that will do the job as I only need to connect the motor phase and halls connectors and pedal assist connector which is the female black connector one that has a bit of speed to it lol and not just low level or would a throttle work but it would have to go on left hand side because of the twist grip gear shifter thanks for any adviceThe display can be omitted in most cases but you will only get one power level, likely low power.
Check that the blue has voltage when tested against the GND wire, once confirmed one can short Blue to Red and the motor should operate. If not then also try shorting Black to Yellow leaving the 5th wire isolated.
