It may have an internal circlip or clamp that's meant to hold it Mike, so opening the case and checking that would be best. Good though Araldite can be, it's often not very successful on plastics, assuming the connector body and battery case are plastic.

Thanks Flecc...unfortunately at the same time it has stoped charging :
...just going straight to GREEN (full charge)...when it isn't.

Does that mean anything to you ?

...thanks...Mike

In that case a wire connection on the connector is probably broken inside as well Mike, that can produce this result.

You'll need to open up the case carefully, secure the connector in place and re-solder the broken connection if that is the problem.

What bike is it?

Thanks Flecc....it's the Wisper 905 eco.
...for a long time it's not had much power but that didn't bother me.
...might that be connected ?
'gonna try buy a screwdriver to fit the slots...do they make 'em that narrow ?

....Cheers....Mike

That couldn't cause power loss Mike, so there could be something else wrong.

I'm not familiar with the battery on the Eco so can't advise on that, or the screwdriver needs. Take care though, there's lots of energy in these batteries.

If in doubt, have a word with Norman, service specialist at Wisper:

That's odd, it's the email address that David gives currently for Norman. Try ringing David or Douglas instead to find out how to get in touch with Norman

I remember David was mentioning that the Wisper website is being revamped.

If the techies have altered or are altering the DNS record of wisperbikes.com particularly MX record to point elsewhere this can lead to exactly this kind of problem. Eventually it sorts itself out but it takes a while for these DNS changes to propagate across the entire Internet. unfortunately its the sort of thing non technical people can (understandably) overlook in the heat of the moment of getting a new site online - but also hosting companies email servers do get overloaded and many of these companies initially deny any problem is occuring.

In this case I would use the mobile numbers to try and get in contact with Norman..

Cheers Alex...I eventually got through to David who sent a message to Norman who rang me and gave me full instructions prior to opening the case.

....now charging ok.

Thanks Norman...thanks Flecc

memo to other users.....DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO OPEN THE CASE WITHOUT SPEAKING TO NORMAN FIRST.

Hi Mike

Pleased everything worked out!

The reason the address for Norman doesn't work is I have had to leave a space between the . and the com as the site will not allow an email address in a signature.

All the best

I spotted that and closed the gap beforehand in my advice to Mike, David, as you'll see in my post above where it is an active link.

For some odd reason he still didn't get it to work then. Maybe he didn't use the active link I gave?
