My apologies if this quesion has already been raised but could not find it on the forum. I bought a new electric bike a few days ago thruogh the Cyclescheme at work. I am pleased with it and getting the hang of it as it is so different from my old bike but my question was when do i charge the battery. Some people say that I should wait until it is almost empty but i remember reading about it somewhat that you should recharge battery when it's half full. I am rather ignorant about it at the moment so would appreciate any advice.
By the way the bike is Bronx sunrunner 26".

Your bike uses a lithium battery Eva, and these benefit from frequent charging, running them to empty tends to shorten the life. Therefore, once you've used a third or more of the charge it's best to charge again before using the bike again.

my understading is that this bike has a very small capacity battery 24 volt 6 amp...around 150 watt hours....I would suggest you charge it after every use....never let the battery get to low

surprised that the information on charging is not given by the dealer or in the bike instructions....I would have thought this was the most important information to give to a new owner

The dealer who sold me the bike did not know much himself as i suspect it may have been the first time he sold electric bike.

But anyway thanks for your advice about charging which I am going to follow.

i have tried one of these it is quite light with the battery sitting on the handlebars lifepo4 battery with 10 different pedelec settings a very nice bike, dealer recommends every so often a full discharge & charge i believe. Enjoy
