His final point has a wrong implication, e-bikes that conform to the law cannot be considered mechanically propelled vehicles. Apart from the 2002/EC/24 ruling that they are not motor vehicles and other acceptances in law that they are bicycles, no legal model can propel itself motor only everywhere on the roads.

They can always operate as unpowered bicycles but cannot always operate as motor only vehicles.

So they are de facto primarily bicycles.

This push cyclist who injured a child has pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding - standard charge applicable to anyone who injures another person.

It appears he may have originally been charged with the arcane offence of wanton and furious cycling, but the prosecution went for unlawful wounding instead, probably because wanton and furious took no account of the injuries caused.

Best to put him right by leaving a message on his site then flecc;)

Yes, I've seen he's pro-cycling. It may be a court that needs the message though!
