I hadn't seen this one so I suspect there are other forum users who've missed it.

Most of us can do all the stuff he does of course.....the only difference being we might fall off occasionally. MacAskill's falls are edited out but I'm sure we could all learn a lot from watching his style of riding. Equally, he could learn loads from reading this forum!

While life affirming and fantastic this ends up making me feel very old.......

Probably because as of a few weeks ago both my children are now at Uni and I miss them very much. (simply not enough choice of emotions to communicate how I feel:p)

I expect there are a few people on this forum (who like me) have been there already Eddie. They do come home of course from time to time (usually with laundry) but if it all works out, they eventually graduate and go out into the world on their own and affirm what a great job you did raising them.

Then ultimately they bring grandchildren to visit which at the same time as the new title "Granddad" ages you further you feel pretty great about it.

Still and all, I remember how quiet the house was but just as they are starting a new chapter - so are you and I don't know about the rest of you, but my Kudos Tourer makes me feel like a kid again! :)

Because I more or less always worked nights (H&S Rail/LUL construction) I was lucky enough to spend more time with my kids then most dads get.....

Like you say its the empty house, but getting used to it!lol

Eddie, trust me enjoy it whilst you can!

Both mine have finished uni and are back living at home (one has M.E and is pretty much fully reliant on us). My wife and I now pine for the three or four years of freedom we had with no kids. That said the first year was a little bit of a struggle as we learnt how to become husband and wife again. It was a little like the first year of our marriage before we had them.

My younger one, now a qualified and working reception class teacher, is getting married next year so we will be back down to one next August :D

Regards

Jerry
