I bought a used Pro Connect. It's lovely, but the elderly person I bought it from hadn't been able to use it much due to health problems and had kept it stored up for a long time. Luckily the battery survived somehow, but had gone into a coma. So I wonder if anyone knows whether this would be the reason why the dynamo lights (which are powered by the battery rather than a wheel-hub) are exceptionally dim. I have had the lights checked by an experience bike mechanic and there is nothing wrong with the lights, which are both B+M. Or am I barking up the wrong tree and do I need to look elsewhere to brighten my lights?
The battery came back to full life once charged, but the handlbar controller always says it is low, even when it is fully charged with five lights (and it does around 50 miles per charge on a mix of medium and high mode). I have not had the opportunity to condition the battery yet (ie, let it drain completely).
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
