The full suspension rebuild is complete into a new frame after snapping the old one
The build got out of control  done again as a sleeper but just because you can does not mean you should new bbs hd and battery 52v with tesla cells, but the extra weight of the hd has thrown the balance out
and its hard to lift over a 5 bar gate so considering putting the original bbs02 750watt but has anyone run the 750watt on the 58 v fully charged battery

I ran that setup for a couple of years without issue. It was the older original 8fun motor, but with a new upgraded fets controller.i've read on ES somewhere about Bafang changing firmware on new BBSHD motors and them needing a reflash to run on 52v, assume yours is fine?

I've got both BBS02 (750w), and BBSHD, both run fine on either 48 or 52v. (EM3ev Packs).
All were purchased from Eclipse in the UK, the owner confirmed that they will run on both.

Maybe their stock is reflashed?

Thanks for that, the hd just feels heavy to lift [or is it just not back to full health yet], cannot decide if the slightly bigger grin is worth the weight and the few hundred extra watts that would only used once per ride are required

My BBS02 is from 2016. Runs fine on either a 13S or 14S battery. Also can use pedal assist and feather in any amount throttle as needed.

What I've read is that some time in 2018, Bafang changed the firmware so that the throttle behavior is mucked up. One cannot mix them together as precisely. The motor apparently goes to full blast. Users are having to (a) disconnect the PAS sensor and use throttle alone, or (b) hack the circuitry to get the original response.

Then I've also read that the later model BBS02's have incorporated a high voltage cutoff, and will not run above 55 volts.
