OK Eddie.....I cant resist........I put my name forward :D

I always carry a tool kit, pump ,Samsung Galaxy, iPod, lipstick etc .......although I can only use the last three......but then you didnt stipulate that we had to know how to use a tool thingy kit....:D

I've cycled all over the Uk, France, Spain and Portugal......

Bad weather doesnt bother me......last January in the wilds of Portugal it was so cold I went back to the M/home at lunchtime and whilst my battery was re-charging I knit myself a wooly hat and mitts and went back out......Gary at Camping Asseceira, Marvao, can vouch for me :)

I dont 'think' Im a shrinking violet ??

Do I fulfill your criteria ?? .......

Lynda :D

I can't decide which poll to vote in first...
Which do you think is the best poll of 2011?

Were you watching me this morning? I was hard as nails riding through rain, snow and sleet. I really wish I'd put my thermals on, the ferry crossing was particularly grim.
I'm about to counter that by spending the next few days wrapped up indoors.

Can I apply? I think that I fulfil most of the criteria except for the requirement to carry a tool kit and pump. As a little treat to myself myself, I occasionally hire a naked dwarf called Bomb-Head. He follows me around on a uni-cycle with a spanner in one hand and bicycle pump in the other. Technically, I am not in possession of the tool kit as Bomb-Head has custody of both items. Would you be prepared to overlook this infringement?

Oh...come on Tillson.....we could ALL hire naked dwarves on uni-cycles :).......that is a definite infringement..........surely eddie will eliminate you......

Surprised to hear you are still commuting as you have been quiet on that topic lately. I doubt that anyone else can match your year in year out 25x2 miles? return commute...Is that still what you do?

we have a contender folks (sorry Lynda;))

No Eddie......we have THREE contenders.......and Mussels might be '' hard as nails'' but NO mention of the obligatory tool kit ( even less of his lipstick ) :D

I'm not going quite that far, the route varies around 18 miles each way.
As for the toolkit I currently carry these all the time:
puncture repair stuff
Full set metric hex keys
20mm Adjustable spanner
Spoke wrench
Halfords bike multi tool
Mini Leatherman style multi tool
screwdrivers
Electronics pliers
Spare fuses

I've not done my usual mileage recently so I'd be a fraud claiming I do that all the time, the 906 has only managed abut 11,000km since I got it.

I nominate Alan ! Aka kitchenman for his wacky adventures, crashes and general positivity towards everything. I personally love the time he went to lean on a post. Apart from it was plastic and it fell with his weight.

Possibly one of the funniest things I've seen here.

Yes, Scotty, have to agree there..... he is very entertaining and 'uber-positive' and also what about his ''towing a bike to his brother '' episode........however before deciding maybe it would help if we could all see Tillson and his naked uni-cycling,tool kit carrying dwarf.......I would pay good money to see a Youtube vid of that :D :D

OK, OK Mussels...........you have a VERY impressive tool kit...........no way you would find a naked dwarf to carry that lot :D

Back on subject, I nominate Wai Won Ching, the eZeebike chief who has been riding the Silk Route in long stages from 2007 on, quite something for an elderly man and the only e-bike company principal to demonstrate his product in this way. 5400 km (3375 miles) covered to date. Here's the link to the last stage pdf he posted in the forum:

Yes, I hoped you would nominate Guim Eddie. He and Wai Won are both worthy entrants.

I also nominate Govinda Bhat for the way he is overcoming the outcome of a hang gliding accident which threatened to end his cycling days:

Yes Guim has had quite a year from Vietnam through a lot of Asia, then up to Greece and then onto Barcelona. They are having a few months off now whilst ThuyAhn has her first baby! Hopefully we will be welcoming the entire family next year as they finish the first stage of their adventure from The Bird's Nest Stadium Beijing to London via Australia and New Zealand!

I am sorry Andrew but Guim has to get my vote, even though your commute to London every day from Dartford does take a lot of beating!

All the best
