E Bike Second time around

It's arrived!!!!

At last my bike is here. Took it out today up Bachtel the local hill to flatten the battery. Its was very wet.

400m climb plus 25km. Hope to get a bit more out if it than this but I don't know if it was completely charged when I picked it up. Hopefully try again tomorrow and see if I fair better. weather forecast is dryer anyway.

Congratulations on your new bike CheKmx. Thse batteries are usually only about half charge from new and are best charged fully first before using. As long as you do a couple of full charges and fully empty the battery at least one of those times to the fast flashing LED stage to condition the battery, it will be ok then and the battery meter accuracy will be at it's best.

Yes congratulations, I am only slightly envious, luckily you didn't buy the X-series as I would have been very unhappy (for me )

Thanks eTim. The s and x series are pretty much the same bar the rear suspension but I went for rigid forks as this bikes for commuting and hopefully some touring. I also got the frame and fork through the post for my mtb build but this will be a hard tail with out any electric assist. Crc and wiggle both seem to have some pretty tempting sales on at the moment.

A lot more success this time. Got to the top of Bachtel plus a ride round the lake. I could definietly squeeze a lot more out of here if I were more careful with the juice.

Yesterdays rides were awesome, an early morning loop round a lake and then in the evening riding up the local hill around dusk. Some great views.

Think I got about 40km and 600m climbing. Think I will do one more battery flattening just to be sure.
