Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi guys, I picked up an e-concept 24v 250w front hub kit from bankrupt bike parts, it was cheap and on a whim, I've built it into a wheel but it is quite frankly gutless. It has 3 assist levels, 1 and 2 do much the same thing, 3, does the same thing as well, until a certain speed is reached and then the controller seems to be happy to dump a little extra current into the proceedings. I havent measure current as its not easy to get inline with the way its setup, but I suspect its heavily detuned, its only an 8.8ah battery. On a rolling road (ie, balanced on my smart turbo trainer) I see 43w output at pas 1 and 2, and about 120w before the speed limit cuts out on pas 3, this is a pic of the lcd if its familiar to anyone. I found access into various hidden LCD modes and changed some settings, but it made no difference. I'm probably going to just replace the controller and LCD with something generic and be done with it, but worth a shot here first!

Cheers

Jim
