Hi Paul,
Trex is correct, I bought a Mosso 29er off eBay the other week with this kit fitted and although i have only done 75 miles on it so far, i can assure you that it will easily do 25 mph on the flat, i hit 36 (strava& Endomondo) on a slight downhill slope without even trying . On Saturday i did 10 miles along the canal and found it excellent, only needed L1 assist and the power delivery was nice and smooth. As for climbing on my return home from the canal i tried it up one of the hills, a nice 0.5 mile sharp climb. I used max assist but no throttle (would have gone way faster) and not really tying ( max heart rate 141) i knocked 17 seconds off the strava record ,average speed 23.9 mph. I definitely don't think you will be disappointed if it's speed your after.

Excellent he does the same batterie and pack too this will save me 300 dollars i will wait and buy from him
His batteries will probably be better as he actually tests and matches the cells he uses. He can do custom programming as well - for example 100% throttle in all PAS modes and setting the lvc.

Don't suppose you're thinking of selling this bike on any time soon are you? It sounds like just the kind of thing I'm looking for, and you're local too.

FYI - no Bafang BBS01/02 equipped bike can do 60kph underpower as they are hardware limited to 50kph.

Hi Ripped, Thanks for the Info on the mosso. I'm also looking into getting the BBS02 kit and fitting it to a 29er (recreating what you have on the Mosso). You may have covered it elsewhere but what kind of range are you getting with the 12 (11.6?)ah battery?

Hi Arby,
Great news that your getting the BBS02 for your 29er I hope you will be as pleased with it as Iam with mine.
I have just passed the 500 mile mark(it lives down at the lodge and only gets used at the weekend) on the Mosso and was going to do a review this weekend.
I have been seriously impressed with the battery range(11.6 ah) my longest ride has been 19 miles and tends to vary from 16 to 18 miles and I have yet to use more than half the battery, bearing in mind this has been used mainly for hill climbing, exploring the lanes as I live at the bottom of a valley by the river so to go anywhere involves some serious climbs through very narrow twisty lanes my usual total climb over16 miles is 1000 ft ish and I tend to average between 18-20 mph and have taken to using level 6 of 9 on the assist with occasional bursts of throttle so Iam giving it some. A few weeks ago I tried a dual carriageway run that the lycras use for TT it is fairly flattish only a couple of hundred feet or so climb 6 miles each way between 2 islands, I managed 25.8 mph av on the way out and 23 mph on the way back(no rest) I was again using L 6 but no throttle at all and I still only used half the battery when I got back home total 18.6 miles 750 ft climb.( several lycras were well and truly blitzed and not happy to have a 50 yr old in cargo shorts and tee shirt wiz by on a bike with knobbly tires  )
I reckon that it would do a good 40 miles on varying terrain judging from my experience ,I will try to do a longer ride to test it out.
Hope it helps and any questions don't hesitate to PM me.
Cheers Gaz
