Ebike brands aren't mentioned in any of those recent reports. At least they're not blaming conversions.

You have to be careful with Lamp posts they are like zombie phone users , always in the way and don't know you are there.

One or two have been known to jump out in front of motorists, so they could do it to cyclists too if you upset them.
Not surprising, if they are less than 200 yards apart, repeater limit signs aren't permitted.

So jumping out is the only way they can restrain speeding drivers.

I hate lamp posts. I walked into them few times
& for me before the days of mobile phones, mostly distracted by my hormones in my youth.

I saw a lycra cladded crusader, on a 40 single carriage, doing 20 & using his mobile. That stretch of road has no decent passing for bikes, so the cautious driver "should" stay behind the bike till the other lane is clear, but most don't. I couldn't even contemplate using my phone while moving, the fact that nobody has my number helps:oops::(
