Hi guys I'm new to the forum so bear with me. As I've already built an ebike conversion kit running great I upgrade from my 36v 500w controller has my wheel can take up to 1000 Watts I've ordered my new controller but need help with the wiring diagram I can't seem to find the pedal assist sensor wire from the control box someone told me it doesn't have one but just need to confirm this. The control box was from eBay 162978976583

That controller is not pas compatible and is for a scooter throttle only with other functions.

To get more watts from a 36v hub use a 25 - 30a rated controller ignore any watts mentioned. Though the hub will want to be rated at 350w, 500w would be more ideal more ideal.
Alternately you could over volt a 36v hub with 48v battery and use a 20a controller if the hub is suitable.

Which hub do you have ?

The link doesn't link to your hub but it sounds as if you have a Direct drive hub and not a geared hub.
In which case they are like chalk and cheese.
Firstly you will need a good controller 35 - 40a rated and a battery that is capable of handling those amps continuously to get the best out of the D/D hubs.

Buying any old controller doesn't mean it will work as they have to be paired with a compatible lcd, you can't just mix and match as the programming is different from manufacturers.

Mostly they do all the same thing, make the bike work.
It is the communication from controller to lcd or led and then back to the controller again, if the software protocols don't speak to each other you get no commands.

Your kit is a throttle/pas kit like a lot of others though it has no led or lcd option. In your case it means searching ebay and other sites for a controller that has the 6 wire throttle option or a controller with any throttle option and no led/lcd.
Before getting another beefier controller will your battery take the strain of the extra load asked of it ?

might look into a new control box with an LCD screen and which is my best option then it would be compatible

What battery do yo have or it specs.
Currently your controller is 22a rated, you might be alright going to 30a controller but will depend on your battery other wise it might not cope with the extra amp draw.

Just chipping in to say the RC community rate the multistars at 3-4C continuous.

C rating is dependent on the capacity of your battery. A 5000mah rated at 4C will give 20 amps continuous. 5000mah x 4 = 20000 ma = 20 amps. If you want 40 amp con. you will need 2 x 5000mah batteries connected in parallel.

I don't use Lipo batteries, I was just explaining C rating for you. What capacity are your Multistars?

On E.S forum the guys over there only give the MS's a quarter of the claimed C rating.

Should be using the same capacity blocks when connecting in series or parallel.

Still, the 10000mah ones should be capable of 25A constant - given a conservative (or realistic.. ) discharge rate of 2.5C.
