I strongly believe that if you have a problem with Chinese product is not due poor manufacturing it is due to poor buying.

Companies who make good bikes and e-bikes haven't had any difficulty in making good products in Chinese factories, Giant have been doing it for over a decade as witness the now legendary Giant Lafree Twist series and their quality normal bike range.

Japanese products have also been highly regarded for many years and they were originally only made in Japan, but now Japan has no problem with their products being made in China to the same exemplary standards.

I remember when Japan also produced a fair amount of rubbish just as China still does to some extent, by that side of Chinese production has been visibly reducing and I'm sure will vanish eventually just as it did in Japan.

Let's not forget, it does also boil down to the people and organizations in each country. I'm sure we could make 150kilo cast iron e-bikes here in the UK if we had the wrong people :D
