and of course the throttle wouldn`t actually be legal in France? is that correct?
if its legal in your home country then you can use it in another EU country I think. So OK for us to use on holiday but if French residents it may be different. With the change in regs its all going to be the same anyway:(

isn't France the country everyone lauds for "not caving in to bureaucracy/nanny state" and having a jolly good old strike or riot in the streets when they disagree with the authorities..? - of course when you are the foreigner/immigrant things may be different.. :rolleyes:

that said I would think the French traffic authorities might have better things to do than chase after middle aged couples like something out of a Inspector Clouseau / Pink Panther cartoon..

not even sure if throttles are that illegal - just seen this and they aren't hard to get in France.. maybe the law is just they cannot be used from standstill?

nice looking bike except the battery looks like an electric toaster:) But it is where a battery should be IMO!

Actually it wouldn't be in throttle only mode, France only has the EU regulations and our British ones don't count there. It's rather like the way cars have to be changed to meet their laws and conditions, corrected headlight dipping for example and the safety items that must be carried by motorists in various EU countries.
