I am a new member , and I often have a problem posting replies . I log in , and then type my message . When I try to post the message , I get a message saying that I am not logged in , so I log in [again ]. Then I can not get back to my message to post it . What am I doing wrong?

I doubt you are doing anything wrong...I have to constantly log in again and refresh page. I see a new post, click on thread, scroll down to look at new post, and nothing there until I refresh...

This is the only site that I have this problem with. I dont seem to experience the same problem with laptop with windows 7 though.....

I have learnt to copy as I go along if writing a long post as they disappear sometimes.

Next to where you log in is an unmarked check box. It should be labelled "Stay Logged In?", but isn't.
Stick a tick in that box...

Never had a problem whether logged in or not.
just looked in, saw that you had posted, clicked on thread, scrolled down, and my last post and yours were missing...... until I refreshed and scrolled down again...

it is just very odd.

Check that your browsing history is set to automatic:
In Internet Explorer go to Tools on the upper bar, select internet options, then select Browsing History -Settings, under check for newer versions of stored pages select automatic.

I find that when making a long posting,if I tick 'post quick reply' sometimes it seems to suggest that I am no longer logged in....I have learnt to copy any long posting and then re login and reload....I just put it down to that I am not quick enough at typing.

I used to have to do that, but now I don't any more. I think it must have got better since I changed to automatically log in when I visit the site.

I have had a problem when doing a long post and had to leave it before completion. On return the part completed post has disappeared. I now copy prior to leaving and my blood pressure stays at a normal level!
