It is far more likely that you have destroyed the controller than the motor itself. The controllers generally aren't too expensive to replace, but if you're lucky you've just blown an internal fuse.
I think I'm right in saying that most of these Cyclone motors have the controller integral with the motor, only the highest powered ones like the 1000 watt having an external one. It's worth opening it up to see if a fuse has blown as Fecn mentioned.
