It's good to learn that Yamaha have rethought their crank drive, just copying the Panasonic one didn't work out well for them.

60 Nm is easily achieved on a crank drive Melspea, it results from changing down gears for the motor drive. Halving the gear ratio doubles the torque, something hub motors cannot do of course.
