i get a error code when i tried it on mine? maybe some others could confirm it now works again and save 100 quid on dongles.;)
Tried it out today on my Haibike with Yamaha motor. Whilst the bike was on the work stand and I turned the pedals by hand the bodge appeared to work as the speedo was displaying a reading. But once out on the test drive after a few seconds the speedo reading was zero and flashing to indicate an error. It was worth a try... But no cigar!

Took mine in Saturday for a hopeful warranty motor swap..
Second question was " Has it ever been chipped/Dongled?" Of course my immediate and honest answer was NO!!
I know there are those who keep asking.. can they tell? Well in my case the engine cover has never been off, and I suppose there would be some evidence of this in the bolt heads if it had..

Just saying..

why i use a badd as dongle so it can just be removed if need be and bike reset to factory settings.

my warranty has now ran out so dont bother me any more if it dies it dies.

I assume if you a hub motor with a simple cadence sensor on the crank you could simply remove half the magnets of the disc.
