Bit like Allied Carpets of old, we only noticed the day when they didn't have a sale on!

Sports HQ offering 15% discount next weekend with code "AUGUST15". This, never to be repeated, once in a lifetime offer is only the forerunner to the fantastic 15% discount "SEPT15" offer which is taking place in September:rolleyes:

Well! we have just got home from a trip around the coast with the bikes on the van for greater range. Mine on the van is my Evans/Alien conversion and Annes is her Cyclamatic Power Plus and you can mock or say what you like about Cyclamatic but she loves that bike and it is as reliable and night and day.

If it will make everyone feel better I can make out it broke down:D :D :D

We're all just teasing about the marketing, we know it's good value. It just seems the 15% off is the real price, the non-discounted price just for those who can't wait or don't know different.

Hi

Speaking about Grab a bargain!

Here is our latest newsletter.

50cycles Electric Bikes - 30th July Newsletter

Best regards

Scott
Yes - but where is your 15% discount voucher (you know, the one for Pedelecs forum members). Not even a BOGOF in sight, let alone a "buy a pump from our 99p range and get a free Kalkhoff".
Also does your Summer sale last until the New Year sale or is it one of these fly by night sales that is over in a month or so?

Colin ;)

You would probably get better fuel efficiency and greater range if you took the bikes off the van. It seems pointless to me to take a trip round the coast with two bikes stuck on the van.

Fuel efficiency:eek: whats that:confused: my 10 year old VW transporter does 30mpg whether loaded with all my tools and equipment (around 1/2 a ton) or empty with just our bikes.

We drive to a location, park up, make tea, unload the bikes and ride all the narrow lanes and tracks in the area. Whats pointless about that? We just get fed up riding away from the house on the same old roads and fancy a change now and then. Sometimes we plan the route and come back to the van at lunch and then head away in another direction.

Bangs head on wall:)

Oh, I see! You get the bikes off the van and go for a ride - why didn't you say.
No wonder my little brain got confused. Nothing about going for a ride in your OP, just going for a drive in your van.
When you don't plan the route you must get loads of exercise towing the van behind you on the bikes.;)

Oh! I thought an intelligent chap like yourself might have worked that one out for yourself:rolleyes: Did you think we took the bikes out in the van to give them a change of scenery:D

Why do I keep getting images of the Muppets drift through my brain :)

Take Care and have a nice (local) weekend:)
