Hi Guys,

Sorry I haven't been on here in a while but probably the best community to help catch some scumbags and make sure this doesn't happen to our other fellow eBike shops.

In the early hours of this morning our Farnham HQ was broken into and the following bikes were stolen. Links to full spec of each bike:

Many thanks to all

This sort of thing worries me also. These bikes are worth such a lot of money that it's only a matter of time until they are targeted specifically. I often see youths hanging about, parked up watching or just cruising around ..
I go out every day so you don't need to be a genius to find out where I live..
A police officer freind suggested I write down the registration numbers ...
Hope something turns up for you and you get them back.

No doubt you're insured and, at those prices, your security system could be better. Any video? CCTV? Serial numbers?

This is clearly an organised crime. They were geared up for it. Planned, reconnoitred, sophisticated. They've most likely browsed those wares inside your store in the past week or so.

Or maybe the place was just 'too easily accessible'. Easy money to be had. Either way, these guys would be in and out, whatever the challenges on making entry were.

Big money lure, big vehicle used, and they knew what they were coming for. A highline burglary, which will net them at least 12 grand, if they fence them off cheap. Not a bad night's work for a couple, or three, thieves.

I'm afraid that the police aren't likely to be pulling any overtime shifts on this one. They'll give you a crime number for your insurance claim, there'll be no taking of finger prints, unless it was a botched job at the point of break in. Which I seriously doubt as it seems well organised at first glance. Unless they have a lead and need to prove someone's actually visited the shop.

Some satisfied customer will probably buy those bikes cheap, with no questions asked. Because they're too expensive for the majority to buy at full price.

Is there any reward being offered? Click, click. :)

I doubt they'd be stupid enought to put them on ebay but worth a look now and then, same with gumtree..

Did the chargers get stolen too?, if not then any bike listed without a charger is suspect..

Oh that's tough Martin, sorry to hear your news. It seems to be that Haibikes are targeted by the scallys - we had £12k worth stolen last year. Don't despair though. On the second of 4 burglaries last year we received a phone call from the crooks themselves. Here's the story in full if you want a pick-me-up.
Fingers crossed!

Maybe all bike dealers should remove batteries and bike computers at night.. Would make a stolen bike very difficult to sell.

I am so sorry, especially after all the hard work setting up that awesome showroom. You know that you probably spent time showing the perpetrators around the bikes don't you. I guess that makes me a suspect; and I need a new charger.

That almost worked out; I need a Bosch charger that is dual voltage; my US AMT Pro came with a 110v/220v charger; my UK one with a 220v charger only. Did not even know until I was trying to find out why it would not work in the US. Beyond me why they would even bother with two different chargers. Many thanks for the offer.

Sorry to hear Martin, the same happened to me last year, it's the mess they made and the hassle of getting broken frames/doors fixed after thats a real pain. Typical scum though, I had video evidence, face's exposed, bikes were taken without charger, keys and one with no display, useless to the theives. Police were decent but never caught the scum. I know I shouldnt take it personally but if I had just 5 minutes with those that stole from me they wouldnt do it again.
