I am Belgian, but resident near Munich for 25 years. I enjoy cycling around here, as well as in Belgium on holidays. I had a Stevens mountainbike, a fully whose frame broke after ~16,000 km I also have a Stevens Citybike, with 23,000 km on the clock. I recently purchased an E-Bike, Flyer Gotour 7.10 which I mainly ride in Eco-mode: achieves ~ 150 km on one charge. It has a Bosch motor, which makes a high-frequency noise when pedalling, unlike my wife‘s Flyer with a Panasonic motor. It comes probably from the chopper. Looking for shared experience with E-Bikes.

I lived in the 80s and 90s in Oxfordshire, and never had a bike. I felt it a bit dangerous to ride a bike on small country lanes. I hope that investment is now being made to foster cycling, outside of the big towns.
