Cutting edge design or monstrosity?

Cutting Edge Design Electric Bike

BTW, I kinda like it :p
Yes. It does have a certain appeal. But. Why don't designers like triangles any more? Simple and strong. Lightweight. Reynolds tubing ruled the world - and the lug-work itself was a thing of beauty. Looking more closely: Is the seat tube really firmly attached to the battery case? Is that the right way round? The disc bit of the disc brakes looks a tad flimsy - very pretty though. That coil of wire above the handlebars - an essential part of the bike or simply hanging on the cupboard door? And just above the chainwheel - that circular yellow thing with a Polo hole in the middle - what's that for?
Still, it does have a certain appeal ...

Aside from the look are these actually any good? They claim 100km assisted distance and are being knocked out quite cheap now.

haha,It's more the bike on the OP I was looking at, although I would love a twizzy if it had windows, Locking doors (leave it in my town at night and who knows what would happen to it) maybe 20 miles more mileage...oh and a bit cheaper.:)

Each to their own but I think it looks hideous. If the seat post was incorporated into the vertical battery housing (I'm assuming that's where the battery sits) then it might look slightly more elegant. More generally I think if ebikes are to become mass market they need to look as much like regular bikes as possible i.e. triangle frame with battery stealthly integrated into the downtube like the BH bikes.

I guess the look will divide opinion but really I wanted to know if the 100km range could be true and if this was a high spec bike as it seems to be getting sold off cheap. there's not much spec available but people may have seen or tried one.

No maker has a magic wand as regards range.

The bike has an 11ah battery so, very roughly, it will do about 40 miles max.

Range, as always, is hugely influenced by hills, head winds and rider input.

A lot of the first two and not much of the third could flatten the battery in 20 miles.
