Extra battery.

Rechargeable pack for a really serious front light like the Cree models.

Another drinks bottle.

A handy toolkit and puncture repair stuff in a bottle shaped container.

A small animal carrier for your Gerbil to enjoy the ride in!

Umm!:p

With that lighting, you are definitely missing a set of truck style air horns, so maybe a vertically mounted trio in that space?

And a more sensible thought is one of these

Kuat Bike Bottle Lock in Black - Innovative and Secure Bicylce Lock / Chain Design (Also available in White and Pink): Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors

Essentially its a 5 foot 8mm cable lock hidden inside a water bottle

I know you said you did not want a lock but perhaps you had a more clasic D-lock in mind ?

Actually at 8mm I think this rather more a secondary lock or an emergncy lock. No way as secure as a D
I love the demo photo of the bike locked up, you could just pull more slack out of the bottle and slip the cable under the bike rack as the bit it goes round doesn't go down to the floor. Not the best advert.
