….. I`d write poems (obvious really!)
And today I`d write a poem about my ride into work which would include some of the following sort of stuff:-
It was a really great ride in today and made my heart sing – what could be a better start to the working day? I am incredibly lucky to have such a rural route to work - for the first 15 miles I only saw a handful of motorists.
Forget about batteries, gear changers and hydraulic brakes and share the e-biking love – it’s a bank holiday weekend coming up and the sun is shining!

- 06:30 Fresh clean cool air
- Mist on the horizon, and hanging above the river
- Bright sunlight just beginning to bring some warmth
- Puddles on the edge of a damp road
- Not even a hint of a breeze
- Fresh green grass verges – some mown already
- Fresh spring tree leaves
- The final drifts of bluebells
- Cow Parsley, Field campion, endless dandelions
- Hawthorn blossom & horse chestnuts in flower
- Baby rabbits, idiot squirrels
- Crazy Lambs & dopey calves
- Magpies & blackbirds
- Finches & swallows
- Swans & ducks on the river
- Cheery hellos to cyclists & dog walkers
- Friendly waves to considerate motorists
- Timing the traffic lights just right
- Arriving at the roundabout with no other traffic
- Finding plenty of space in the cycle rack at the office
