It's not my kind of ride but I suspect it might be rather enjoyable. If it could be purchased for close to the opening bid, then it's probably a bargain as Bionx stuff ain't cheap. Even a Bionx kit costs an arm and a leg and if you want a ready-built machine, 50 Cycles do one and the Trek models are available in quite a few shops now. I shouldn't think you'll come across many of these in the UK and I'm not sure who might look after it if your LBS doesn't want to know and you can't do bike repairs and maintenance yourself.
I only draw attention to it as I've never seen another one.
