Seems like quite a nice/professional conversion. I recall seeing these somewhere else as prototypes. I don't think they ever went into mass production.

When I had one (shown below), my conversion was lighter though their's perhaps looks a bit more professional :)

Its a very light and supper fast bike, but in the end I just found it not portable enough and sold it. Great if you have small space to store a bike at home though. I fitted big apples to give it a little give as well.
With all small wheeled bikes I also prefer a frame luggage mount option up front.

This is the company mentioned at the bottom of the listing together with Powerbyke - they also have some Powerbyke spares for sale:

http://www.conv-e.com/

It shows a battery case I have not seen before on their website

Ah thanks I realise now they are the same company I purchased my Swift Xootr base bike from.

I think they imported quite a few but the bike is pretty specialist and I think they have struggled to shift them.

They have a downloadable review on their site from which I have learned that it does not have a throttle but instead has a "rotational sensor" - much better description of a throttle type device;)

Shame it can't take a mid drive because of the nature of the fold - I think only the dahon/tern with the new Xofo motor could fit that bill but it is only torque sensor driven.

They had one on the Powabyke/Conv-e stand at the cycle show. It's very neat. I think it was throttle only and no brake cut-offs to keep it simple. Tongxin motor IIRC. They make their own batteries. Contact Conv-e if you want one. This is the one that was at the show:

Hi Jerry,

I don't know the specifications but Keyde appear to be developing a seat post battery which might appeal for one of your lightweight builds:

interesting product. Questions:

1. does the seat post battery fit inside any standard seat post?
2. is it necessary to extract the battery to charge it, or can it remain on the bike?
3. if a cell is faulty, can it be replaced without shipping to china?

Hi Arbol,

Unfortunately I can presently find no other information on this product.
No doubt it will be forthcoming in the future.
