Is 1stone of less rider weight equivalent to a lighter bike?

Having recently lost a stone I went out for a quick ride this morning and it certainly felt a lot easier. How does rider weight relate to an effectively lighter bike?

I lost a stone as well and really noticed it on cycling holiday this summer gone...

Trek 6000 with Cyclezee bottle battery kit. Not that often in this weather though. David never came back to me on the Daahub so I gave up in the end.

Over time the body adjusts it's muscle strength to match what the weight requires in any given context, so in the longer term one's weight loss or gain makes no difference when the weight is within the normal range.

If you've lost the weight fairly quickly you will notice the gain only short term. If your previous weight was outside the normal range, for example verging on obese, the gain you notice will be permanent.
