Is there an electric bike exhibition?

I'm new so apologies if information is elsewhere on this forum.

Just wondering whether there is a larger electric bike exhibition anywhere in the UK where you can see not only see but try out a wide range of bikes.

I don't think there's an electric bike expo as such, but companies such as Wisper, Powabyke and 50 cycles do exhibit at bike shows. I'm sure someone will be along with a much better answer in a minute. Welcome to the forum.

Your best bet to see the likes of Powacycle, Powabyke, Wisper, IZIP, Urban Mover, Giant, Kalkhoff etc all in one place would be to attend the Bike Show at Earls Court in October, however it's probably not the best place to try them out. For demos The Tour de Presteigne is the big annual event where a majority of manufacturers exhibit and a great place for you to try the bikes out. This however is not happening again until May so you have a bit of a wait!

some shops stock from a range of manufacturers so the opportunity to try the Panasonic style and hub motor/throttle bikes for a comparison does exist.

Dealer Onbike at Kidderminster and Presteigne claim to have around 15 different models that can be seen and tried.

There are other specialist e-bike dealers elsewhere who have quite a good range of choices, so it's becoming more possible now to sample a reasonable number before buying.

Importantly, many of them have Panasonic type crank drive bikes as well as front and rear wheel hub motor types, making the basic selection of the preferred type to ride very easy. Once that's sorted, the rest of the choice is on details so that can be effectively done from specification lists or catalogues.

It's the big southwest show and I would have thought a gold mine for potential customers
