Julet male - female issue

I decided to replace the brake levers and therefore cut out sensors on my ebike.
It uses Julet joins, so what I thought would be a 5 min job has turned into a right challenge

The brakes i bought were suitable for Bafang BBS01 BBS02 BBSHD.
They look fine apart from one massive problem

They come with a male Julet end and the old one had a female.
I have looked for a nice adapter but there doesnt seem to be one.

I have tried putting the wiring from the old into the new, which half works, but is not a long term solution, as it is a bit flimsy.

Any idea what to do?

Only one brake cut off is needed, as I found having two is a royal PITA.
Cut off both connectors and solder/shrink the joint.
Cut the brake connector off and solder/shrink a Female tail to it.
M/M, M/F, F/M or F/F extensions can be bought, though you end up with a bit of a wire loop to hide.

I did find a female to female connector but it is a 50cm extension that would be a PITA to dangle about.
I am not really sure how to solder a Julet connector, they look very sealed down.
Can you even buy them on their own?

You buy the Julet with a wire tail, cut off the one on the brake and solder the three wires and cover with shrink.

Cut them off and solder the wires. You will never need to disconnect them.
I was considering doing this after the warranty ran out, but I think I'll do it right now. A bit of marine shrink 3:1 and solder should keep most water out... Maybe I'll try shrinking marine shrink (comes pre-applied with adhesive) over the connectors first.

Yes go for it, so easy, I just got some of that shrink wrap around it and heated it up.
I did a small one first and then a bigger one. TBH the join is so good, I can say with 100% confidence I will have no issues at all with it
