As mentioned on an earlier post I bought this on ebay, 5 working days later and it arrived. Got home from work and a large pallet was in the drive with a very scruffy, damaged box on top. So first thing was to take a few photos in case of damage, and there was. Three obvious paint scuffs, saddle adjusting components all loose in box but found OK, cable buckled and wiring bent a right angles where it entered the rear hub. One fairly easy hour later it was fully functional. I had put the battery on charge straight away and when fitted the lights work and the motor turns the rear wheel, so I guess I was lucky. Oh yes good job I had a 6mm tap as the handlebar fixing bolt threads where damaged. On the packaging was an web address, made in china, anyone requiring it can contact me. Still charging the battery so will keep you posted as to performance etc. Have used the attachment to add a picture, hope it works.

it looks similar to the Synergie extreme I had a few years ago. Quite a powerful bike, although heavy ( I think it was over 30kgs with battery). Is this one lead acid ? I found that the battery lasted me about a year before it needed charging nearly every day (7 mile trip).

Good luck with it and have fun.

Thanx guys

It is lead acid battery and the whole lot must weigh nearly 40kg, If the wife likes it I would be interested in fitting a front wheel conversion kit to her Giant but at around £350 it seems to make more sense to buy another one like mine. Any thoughts ?

When my bike arrived the box had taken a battering too.
Unfortunately, it had bent forks and it had to go back, so well done in being able to use it out the box.
It's very similar to my Cougar.
The beauty with these lower end priced bikes is there's always room to improve it (LiFePo4 battery, better brakes, gears, etc), as and when the wallet allows. If I add up all what I have spent on mine it's value must be close to £900, which is a big jump from the initial purchase of just under £400.
I think that’s why they are far more enjoyable than the "state of the art" £1500 jobbies :D
