Last night i finally managed to hit 5000 miles after a week of lousy weather and ill health delayed it slightly.

Broken gear shifter 500 miles.
Broken chain link 1000 miles.
Approx 8 punctures.
5 gear adjustments.
1 loose rear spoke 4200
230,000 ft climbing.
Average speed 15.5 mph.
Average heart rate 146 bpm.
Fastest speed 52 mph.
1 crash (oil on mini roundabout)

There still appears to be plenty of life in brake blocks and tyres.
Still using original 10a battery which is good for at least 30 miles on my 'S' version so in standard arrangement i would think it would be good for 45 miles +.
The 18a battery seems to give 10-14 miles 1st light,20-24 2nd light,20-24 3rd light and 12-14 on flash on the handlebar control.

I never thought i would ever be able to ride 5000 miles on a bike but to do it heading for the hills just proves what a great bike this is..Heres to the next 5000 !

Great report, sounds like a really solid & reliable bike. Top speed of 52 mph - You forgot to mention how much soiled underwear!!
