Under the 2004 EC directive the maximum permitted power of any pedelec is limited to 250 watts per driven wheel, taking advantage of this directive Kudos is launching a 500 watt tricycle. The motor will be centrally mounted and electronically split between the wheels but restricted to maximum each wheel by a patent applied for 'Diff-e-controller'.
The upper weight limit of 60 kgs will easily support the additional electronics and the power to weight ratio will exceed all two wheeled bikes-this should de the fastest legal pedelec on the road.
KudosCycles leading the pack!!!!

Technically your post should have been before 12 noon on the first of April to qualify Dave. Never mind, just as amusing all the same!

I bet many get very excited while reading your text though, thinking of twin motors on their e-bikes!

That is a good one, Dave.

But why not 3 wheels and 750 watts?

Now, I have two wheels on my bike: with front and rear hub motors I so I can legally run 500 watts. But, how do I get round the 25kph assist speed limit?

That's not a problem. Each qualifying motor is permitted 25 kph, so with two of them you are allowed 50 kph (31 mph).

Yes, it's an eZee Torq Special with twin eZee motors, battery carrier mounted instead of in-frame. Climb anything and fast too.
