Hi to all

Could someone please advise on lifepo4 battery storage, should i leave them in the
garage in the winter or bring them into the house. No sure if low temp will ruin them.

Thanks

Lifepo4,not unduly affected by temperature-they are used in weather stations and have to withstand all temperatures ,if you google LifePo4 it will give the temperature ranges. Try not to leave fully charged, about 80 percent is ideal, the self discharge rate is only 2-3 percent per month, never store empty.
Lifepo4 is currently the most user friendly of all the lithium battery types, shame it's a bit heavier than the other lithium types. Kudos has sold over 1200 bikes now,all with lifepo4,the earliest bikes are now coming up to 2 years old,we have never had a customer report any loss of performance with age,we have had the odd failure, usually failure of the bms but no customer has yet had a battery showing signs of degradation.

Thank you for the reply it is a Kudos battery, I will leave it at 80 % charge if not in use and just leave it in the garage.

Ironic that a BMS that is suppose to protect cells very often, upon failure, is what leads to their demise :(
