Lithium Polymer or Lithium Ion

Hi...I'm looking to buy a bike...the battery is Lithium Ion but I see the newer models are Lithium Polymer.

Is there a big difference ?

They are all lithium-ion Mike, polymer referring to a type of construction rather than the chemistry. Polymer batteries are lighter.
