Lost key. How do I open the battery lock?

How do I open the battery lock?
Having fitted the battery almost a year and a half ago, I have not removed it from the bike. Now I need to remove it and the problem - I can't find the keys.
Anyone have any ideas on how to open it? Damage to the lock as much as possible is an option, as I can buy a new one.
Is it possible to open it by force with a flat screwdriver?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm told that jigglers (check on ebay) are usually easy to use to open a lock.

As you've got the lock number you can probably buy new keys (ebay again), but you'd need to know the style of lock too.
If you are lucky someone will be able to tell you that from your photo; it not post the bike model and that might help.

Have you checked behind the fridge ?

Before you end up damaging the lock, make a concerted effort to look for them.
One room as a time and leave no pillow unturned, no drawer unrummaged.

Be surprised where things can end up.
I lost my Japanese mitre square, and did the full police style search but to no avail.
Was moving one of my machines in the workshop and discovered it underneath the lino. How the **** it found its way there i have no idea.

Can't be opened by force. The key cylinder is in a metal tube. I'm sure a good locksmith, if there are still such craftsmen in your area, can pick it.

I had the same problem, Bought a lock pick kit on ebay. Didn't need it, as I found the key, but I tried it anyway. Got it to open once. Never succeeded again.

It's already done, by the way I tidied up the drawers and cupboards
I 'm already running out of ideas where else to look.
So it's left to murder the lock, just to get the battery off.

Use jiggler keys. Once the lock is open, you can dismantle it and remove the tumblers so that you can open it with any key, knife or screwdriver, which will save you from having to buy another lock.

Are you sure its locked?? fwiw I stalled with the spring clean kitchen clear out this year, I misplaced the back door key ?
I would usually move anything possible fridge freezer etc out of the tiny 8x9 kitchen so i could pull out the cooker and give the whole floor a scrub clean..
no opening back door no deep floor clean ;(

ever since ive been key hunting, and have collected all loose keys.

This w/end passed i had a good look at the door and the bloody lock was not engaged - it was already unlocked! the door was secured by the star key bolts top and bottom only!

if exposed to direct sunlight and been heated up as a consequence your battery may be wedged tight on its sled due to plastic deformation, this often results in battery disconnections but could easily work to grab a battery tight too.

your lock probably drops a steel pin circa 10mm diameter into a hole in the plastic slide base.

You should be able to see/feel this to confirm the lock is engaged or not, worth checking ..

The key will be in the first place you look after smashing the lock off.

As an alternative email the supplier and ask if they will sell you a 304 key.
