The Mayor bought his bike using the cities local currency the ‘Bristol Pound’, which supports independent businesses, makes communities stronger and builds a local economic model that helps people and planet.
Alastair from Atmosphere said "We are very pleased to be able to supply the latest technology for our Mayor here in Bristol and look forward to him leading the way for Bristolians!"
The Bike
The bike chosen by the Mayor as best bike for the job from the extensive range at Atmosphere was a Riese & Muller Bluelabel Cruiser bike made in Germany and distributed in the UK by Wisper Bikes.
This is the latest technology using a Bosch designed and manufactured motor and battery system. The bike works by measuring the pressure you put on the pedals as you ride and converting that into a variable level of help as needed.
“These intelligent torque sensor bikes feel like you are riding an ordinary bike but are now like superman up Bristol hills”
