Mobility issue. Ok im 60something pre hip op and left knee playing up, im on a budget know i have a collection of mid 1970s bikes also a couple of modern hybrid style bikes. Now the mistake i made sold mobility scooter and purchased a raleigh e stowaway running the tranzX system , totally get Now that tranzx is locked system, but i totally adore this bike easy step thru nice little commuter bike looking at woosh and voilmart thought buy all the parts separately self build,so what's the best route and budget to take this raleigh Stow-e-way rip all the tranzx kit off and get myself a 250w twist and go ( blue badge holder) any information greatly appreciated

Few ideas

36v Woosh rear hub XF08c on low step carrera

(Donor bike £80 off Facebook)

Akm-75 conversion on Carrera Intercity disc 8

36v 10Ah removable battery (Yosepower battery)

36v 15Ah bag battery

Both donor bikes <=£200 off facebook

Eta I would always start off with a donor bike (however modest) with disc brakes

I personally wouldn't start with the stow-e-way, I would sell it and start off with a different donor bike (find one that has the attributes that you like from the stow-e-way.)

If you want twist and go then buy a Wisper step thru for total legality, being a blue badge holder doesn't make any twist and go legal.
Legal twist and goes need the required V5 cetification so visit your Wisper dealer.

Three bargains there, and all in my favourite colour.

With used e bikes you have to be careful of the battery. There has been several reports here of Wisper 575Wh batteries not being recoverable after being left empty for extended periods without charging
